ColorChart update (colored pencil and some graphite)

The color charts have been u.pdated. The full Prismacolor and Polychromos lines have been entered. I'm checking for errors and ommissions. A large percentage of Lyra Rembranbdt Polycolor have been entered as well as the small sets of Derwent Studio, Derwent Graphitint and a few others.  Next up are a set of 30 of the Royal Talens Van Gogh and a sampling of Bruynzeel Design are in the works.
Once the colored pencils are done, I'll start on Watercolor pencils. These will have wet and dry swatches.

Color Application update

A number of the issues with the color application are now resolved and I'm back to entering data. The main database is at http://www.3acres.org/ColorChart/ with a listing by brand name at http://www.3acres.org/ColorBrands/
As I update the data, the sorting can also be done by color grouping (red, green, blue, violet, etc.) as well as by color name (if the media has one) and color ID (if it has one).

Color Application

I have a new feature that is in the early stages of development. It is an art media color table and brand application. It is not complete and doesn't have all the info it will eventually have but it is starting to be usable. Right now, sorting by color name in the default page shows the differences between different vendors names for a color. You can also search for all color samples with a particular word in their name.
You can try it out at:

A new (to me) paper

I've got samples of a paper called TerraSkin coming and I can't wait. It doesn't have any wood or other fiber in it and is made primarily from stone (calcium carbonate) with a small amount of plastic binder. It isn't made with water in the process and is biodegradable. It is acid free and archival.

Art Forums

I've been spending time lately on a couple of art forums that I've found to be quite supportive of aspiring artists (and even pros). They encourage beginners and will provide constructive criticism if asked for.
WetCanvas is a broad based forum that covers most artist media with separate groups for each type. Each discussion group has its own distinct personality based on its members and moderators. All appear to be quite supportive and give good, constructive criticism.
